The standard double room was larger than i anticipated. i noticed crisp white sheets and shortbread with the tea and coffee. It felt quite romantic! the location provided easy access to bars and restaurants so close.
the hotel, though clean, seemed a little dated, which gave it a slightly sad atmosphere.

reception gave clear information for local fish and chips places. they provided a real plate with cutlery so i could eat in my room. breakfast arrangements had a lovely lady taking orders for hot drinks. the menu offered lots of choice and service was fast.
i found no air conditioning in my room, this could be improved. some modern hotels nearby offer that feature.

The room had big beds with lush crisp white sheets. Shortbread was available with our tea and coffee. The location is central and easy to get to. The access to the car park is a little tight though.
The room was noisy with poor quality windows. This meant there was no relief from the outside noise. Staff refused to allow some of our party back into the hotel. They returned from a neighbouring bar.

the staff was friendly, especially lucy, at check in. she sorted something, which could have spoiled my trip. lucy went out of her way, to accommodate me and resolved everything to perfection. i was grateful.
my room was at the top, so the ceiling was cramped. there was noise from outside too. the room was a bit dated, i think.
